Now I'm going to strip all the finish.
I know this body could be made up of seven pieces of Alder or Poplar wood.
Seven? That many?
They say "up to seven", so this one might be a four piece body.
I'll find out after stripping this. It's a bet.
-------- Three days later ---------
.... of course it's seven pieces...
My lottery never wins but I've won a seven piece body.
So it sounds bad?
Actually, no. The sound is still okay.
If it's a solid body electric guitar, I don't think
the number of pieces has a dramatic effect on a guitar tone.
More important factors might be the kind of wood, moisture rate,
or the weight but not the number of pieces.
Actually, a friend of mine had a five piece Jazz bass and that was
the best sounding bass I ever played.
Then why do you look so depressed?
It's just my mental thing.
You know, most guitarists prefer one piece over..
Oh wait a minutes!
What is it?
Okay, from now on, I'll THINK like this to make ME happy!
